"On Rügen, there is growing concern about the cliffs breaking off. After heavy rainfall on Thursday, enormous amounts of water caused cracks in the cliffs, especially in Sellin. Some areas of the cliff had already slipped away. The authorities are therefore urgently warning people to stay on and directly below the cliffs. A crisis team in Sellin and Göhren is monitoring the weather and the low pressure expected on Saturday. Further rain could then lead to further coastal collapses."
